Iran and U.S. Engage in Indirect Negotiations in Oman

Muscat, Oman (LM) Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman, Nasser Kanani Baqaei, announced that two delegations are currently engaged in indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States. The discussions began about an hour ago at the residence of the Omani ambassador, with the participation of the Omani Foreign Minister.
Baqqaei’s statement highlighted the ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at addressing various issues between the two nations. The use of Oman as a neutral venue reflects the Sultanate’s long-standing role as a mediator in regional conflicts.
The negotiations are expected to focus on critical topics, including nuclear discussions, sanctions, and regional security. Both sides have previously indicated a willingness to explore avenues for dialogue, although the outcomes remain uncertain.
As the talks progress, observers are closely monitoring the situation, hoping for a breakthrough that could ease tensions in the region.
