MOGADISHU, Somalia Mohamed Ali Americo, General Director of Mogadishu Port, has been honored with the Public Service Leadership Award 2026 at the Somali Leadership Awards Event Night, recognizing his leadership, dedication to public service, and contribution to the nation and community as well as to development of Somalia’s maritime and port sector.
The award celebrates Americo’s commitment to strengthening public institutions, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the continued development of Mogadishu Port as an important gateway for Somalia’s trade and economic activity.
Speaking after receiving the award, Americo expressed appreciation for the recognition and highlighted the importance of teamwork in delivering effective public services.
“I am deeply honored to receive this recognition. This award is not only a personal achievement but also a reflection of the commitment and hard work of the entire team at Mogadishu Port.”
