Somali Ministry of Public Works Presents Accountability in 2025 Government Review

Mogadishu (LM) The Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction, and Housing of the Federal Government of Somalia engaged in the Cabinet’s accountability process, which evaluated the performance of ministries during the previous Dan-Qaran government over the past year.

The accountability session focused on ministries aligned under the Economic Development Pillar, highlighting achievements and upcoming developmental plans. These efforts are in line with the goals of the National Transformation Plan and the commitments made by the Prime Minister and the Cabinet.

The Ministry was represented by Dr. Elmi Mahamoud Nur, the Minister, and Mr. Mahdi Sh. Abdullahi Omar, the Director General, and Mr. Abdullahi Ahmed Sh. Abukar, the Planning Department Director.

In 2025, the Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction, and Housing has been acknowledged as one of the most effective ministries, especially in the first and second quarters. This recognition reflects the ongoing commitment to progress and the delivery of efficient services to the Somali community.
