AU Commission Chairperson Engages with South African Ambassador on G20 Priorities

Addis Ababa (LM) The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, met with H.E. Nonceba Losi, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the AU, for a productive discussion focused on Africa’s priorities within the G20 framework.
During their meeting, both leaders emphasized the necessity of inclusive representation for African nations in global discussions, particularly in the context of the G20. They underscored the importance of advancing the continent’s strategic interests to ensure that Africa’s voice is heard on the international stage.
Ambassador Losi reaffirmed South Africa’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development throughout the region. The discussions also touched on collaborative efforts to address pressing challenges facing the continent, emphasizing the need for unity in pursuing shared goals.
