The State of Qatar Provides Urgent Humanitarian Aid to Sudan Amidst Ongoing Crisis

Al-Dabba, Sudan (LM) In a demonstration of its unwavering commitment to supporting the brotherly people of Sudan, the State of Qatar has dispatched a new shipment of humanitarian and relief aid to Al-Dabba in the Northern State. This initiative comes in response to the dire humanitarian conditions characterized by severe food shortages and a growing need for shelter and basic necessities.

The aid package includes approximately 3,000 food baskets, 1,650 shelter tents, and other essential supplies, all provided by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and Qatar Charity (QC). This support aims to assist displaced families from the city of El-Fasher and surrounding areas, with an expectation to benefit over 50,000 individuals.

In addition to the immediate aid, Qatar has also established a dedicated aid camp named “Qatar Al-Khair,” aimed at providing ongoing support to those in need.

A Qatari official stated, “This humanitarian support reflects our continued efforts to stand by the brotherly people of Sudan and alleviate their suffering. We are committed to enhancing our humanitarian response and fostering solidarity with affected communities around the world.”

The delivery of this aid underscores Qatar’s leading role in addressing humanitarian crises and its determination to provide essential support to vulnerable populations during challenging times.

As the situation in Sudan remains critical, the State of Qatar reaffirms its dedication to humanitarian principles and its readiness to assist those in need.
