Hormuud Salaam Foundation Donates $1 Million Annually for Kidney Patient Care

Mogadishu ( LM) Mr. Abdullahi Nur Osman, Chairman of the Hormuud Salaam Foundation, has announced that the number of Somalis suffering from kidney failure is rising significantly. He revealed that the foundation is currently covering the treatment costs for over 170 patients, with monthly medical expenses ranging from $500 to $600 per person.

Osman stated, “This year, the cost of kidney failure treatment for these individuals exceeds one million dollars, all funded by the Hormuud Salaam Foundation.” This substantial financial commitment underscores the foundation’s dedication to addressing the urgent healthcare needs of the Somali population.

The foundation’s initiative not only provides critical support for patients but also raises awareness about the growing health crisis related to kidney disease in the region. Osman emphasized the importance of continued support and collaboration to enhance healthcare access and outcomes for those affected.
