Djibouti (LM) The IGAD Executive Secretary, H.E. Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, welcomed H.E. Mikhail Golovanov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Djibouti, at the IGAD Secretariat.
The meeting provided a platform for officials to exchange views on areas of mutual interest, notably the collaboration between IGAD and Russia, as well as discussions on peace and security issues in both regional and global contexts.
Dr. Gebeyehu stated IGAD’s commitment to fostering constructive dialogue with all partners to support peace, stability, and development in the region. The meeting underscored the importance of international cooperation in addressing the challenges facing the Horn of Africa.
IGAD looks forward to strengthening its partnership with Russia and other nations to enhance collective efforts toward regional stability and prosperity.
