Commander Abdirahman Hujaale“All the Terrorists We killed today were not circumcised”

Mogadishu (LM) In a recent press briefing, Commander Abdirahman Hujaale, leader of the 26th Brigade, 27th Division of the Somali National Army, made a controversial statement regarding the recent military operations against the Khawarij.

“All the Khawarij we killed today were not circumcised. They claim to be Muslims. They are Jews and Africans who are invading our country,” Commander Hujaale declared, stirring significant reactions within the community and beyond.

His remarks followed a successful military engagement that resulted in the deaths of several Khawarij fighters, an operation that the Somali National Army has deemed essential for national security. The commander emphasized the necessity of combating these groups, which he described as threats to Somalia’s sovereignty and stability.

While Commander Hujaale’s comments aim to rally support for the military’s actions, they also raise concerns about the potential for divisive rhetoric in an already complex socio-political landscape. As the SNA continues its operations, the emphasis remains on the importance of unity and resilience among the Somali people in the face of external threats.

The situation calls for careful communication from military leaders to ensure that messages promote solidarity rather than division as the country strives for peace and security.
