Somalia is making significant strides to transition away from the longstanding 4.5-based electoral system that has dominated its political landscape. The Somali government is now focused on establishing a more inclusive voting system that allows every citizen to vote for their preferred leaders.

This shift towards one-person, one-vote elections represents a crucial step in strengthening democracy in the country. It reflects the aspirations of the Somali people for a more representative and fair electoral process.

The efforts of the Somali government to implement this change deserve commendation, as they work to ensure that all citizens have a voice in determining their leadership. As the country progresses towards these elections, there is hope for a more unified and democratic future for Somalia.
