Somali Council of Ministers Commends National Army and Approves Key Legislation

Mogadishu (LM) The Council of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Somalia has commended the National Army for its responsibility and professionalism in preventing potential harm to the citizens of Balad-Xaawo. The council also praised various sectors of society for their support of the government and efforts to maintain peace in the Gedo region, while acknowledging that government facilities continue to provide essential services.
In their meeting, the Council emphasized that the Federal Government prioritizes the fight against extremist groups, aiming to ensure that the Somali people achieve peace, stability, and comprehensive government services. They warned that any actions undermining stability would hinder efforts to combat these extremist factions.
The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Mr. Hamza Abdi Barre, concluded with the approval of the Digital Regulation Act for Financial Management and the 2024 annual budget, marking significant steps toward enhancing governance and financial transparency in the country.
