Somali PM Appoints New Minister of Labor and Social Affairs

Mogadishu, Monday, 27 October 2025 – The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hamsa Abdi Barre, has officially appointed Mr. Prof. Saalim Aliyow Ibrow as the new Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.

Recognizing the significant challenges and responsibilities facing the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Prime Minister Barre noted the importance of strong leadership in addressing the needs of the Somali people.
