Somali Army Land Forces Commander Inspects Damaged Badere Bridge

The Commander of the Somali National Army Land Forces, Brigadier General Sahal Abdullahi Omar “Gen. Khalid,” has inspected the severely damaged Baardheere Bridge, which is currently completely out of service.
During his visit, the Commander also assessed security and living conditions along the banks of the Jubba River, amid concerns over potential flooding in several parts of Somalia.
Military officials and Badere district authorities briefed the Commander on the security situation and the urgent needs of communities living along the river.
Brig. Gen. Sahal Abdullahi Omar pledged to address the challenges facing the area, with the rehabilitation of the damaged bridge identified as a priority.
The Badere Bridge is a vital link for the movement of people and vehicles and plays an important role in connecting communities on both sides of the river and facilitating access to essential services.
