The Evidence Generation and Learning Initiative is underway in Entebbe, 10–13 December 2025! Youth and women peace actors, researchers, storytellers, and documentary makers are coming together to refine and standardize peacebuilding evidence, strengthening collaboration across the Horn of Africa. This initiative, in partnership with the Government of Japan, builds on IGAD’s WPS and YPS frameworks and aligns with key UN resolutions.
On behalf of the IGAD Gender Manager, Amina Farah, Rachel Mpiriirwe, Gender Project Coordinator, delivered opening remarks highlighting the vital role of women and youth in building sustainable peace. Over the coming days, participants will finalize stories, research, and multimedia content for the IGAD WPS–YPS Evidence Hub, ensuring evidence from the ground informs policy, advocacy, and action across the region.
