Somalia’s Ambassador to China Spotlights Resilience and Investment Potential at Trade Fair

Beijing (LM) Ambassador Hodan Mohamed Abdi, Somalia’s representative to China, showcased Somalia’s potential at the China International Fair for Trade in Services held in Beijing. During her presentation, Ms. Hodan underscored Somalia’s story of resilience, opportunity, and hope.

In her speech, Ambassador Abdi invited friends and potential investors to consider Somalia, describing it as “a land open to the world and full of promise.” She said the nation’s strategic location, rich resources, and growing sectors, including agriculture, fisheries, and telecommunications, are key areas for investment.

“I take special joy in sharing Somalia’s story — a narrative of resilience, opportunity, and hope.
