Government Officials to Attend Presidential Inauguration of Northeast State of Somalia

Mogadishu (LM) In a significant development, Deputy Speaker of the Somali Upper House, Senator Cabdullaahi Timacadde, has announced that both the President of Somalia and the Prime Minister will participate in the inauguration ceremony for the new President of the northeastern State of Somalia.
Senator Timacadde praised the Federal Government for its vital role in addressing the challenging conditions faced by the regions of Sool, Sanaag, and the district of Buuhoodle. He highlighted the efforts of the President and Prime Minister in demonstrating their commitment to national unity through their responsibilities in these areas.
In his remarks, the senator noted that members of both houses elected from Sool, Sanaag, and Cayn will collaborate to support the establishment of the new administration in the northeastern region. He expressed optimism that previous conflicts among politicians representing these regions in the Federal Government could be resolved, fostering an environment of cooperation and stability.
Senator Timacadde, who previously served as the Minister of Interior for Puntland and is a close associate of President Deni, has recently aligned himself with the aspirations of the Sool community, advocating for the creation of a new administration. His backing reflects a growing consensus for enhanced regional governance and self-determination in the area.
