Mogadishu, 13 July 2025- The National Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission-NEIB has officially launched a voter registration campaign in Hirshabelle State. The initiative was inaugurated today by the President of Hirshabelle State, Ali Abdullahi Hussein Guudlawe, alongside members of the Somali National Democratic Alliance (SNA).
The event took place in Jowhar town, marking the official start of the voter registration process in the region. President Guudlawe, along with officials from the Hirshabelle administration and local residents, actively participated in the registration at polling stations, highlighting the community’s enthusiasm for the electoral process.
In his remarks, President Guudlawe emphasized the importance of this campaign in promoting democratic participation and ensuring that the upcoming elections are free and fair. The positive response from the public indicates a strong momentum towards engaging citizens in the electoral process.
As the registration campaign progresses, officials are encouraging all eligible voters to take part, reinforcing the commitment to building a transparent and accountable governance structure in Hirshabelle State.
