Galmudug Community Supports Local Forces in the Fight Against Terrorism in Hiiraan

Maxaas District, Hiiraan – In a significant show of solidarity, officials from the Galmudug State Administration, alongside community elders from Guriel, provided a humanitarian aid donation to leaders and elders in Hiiraan. The ceremony, held in the Maxaas District, underscored the community’s commitment to supporting one another during challenging times of the fight against Shabaab terrorists.
The donation included a substantial cash amount of $50,000, as well as livestock, which comprised 200 goats and nearly ten camels. This aid aims to bolster the local liberation fight against Shabab.
The Key figures at the event included the Minister of Energy and Water, Mohamed Abdullahi, MP Abdismad Macalin Mahmud, and the Governor of Hiiraan, Muse Salad Wehliye. Elder Abdi Muumin Guuleed also addressed attendees, emphasizing the importance of collective support in times of crisis.
“This donation is part of our relief efforts in support of the forces fighting against the terrorists,” stated Minister Abdullahi, highlighting the ongoing struggles faced by the Hawadle community in the fight against terrorists in the Hiiraan region and Middle Shabelle. The aid was generously provided by one of the Eyr clans from the Hiiraan and Galgaduud regions, demonstrating their commitment to helping their fellow community members.
The event was marked by a spirit of unity and hope, reflecting the resilience of the people in the face of adversity. As the community comes together to support one another, this initiative serves as a poignant reminder of the strength that comes from solidarity.
