Deputy Prime Minister Launches Second Phase of Baxnaano Social Welfare Project

Mogadishu (LM) The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Jibril Abdirashid Haji Abdi, officially inaugurated the second phase of the Baxnaano social welfare project, aimed at supporting the impoverished population of the country.
In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Abdi highlighted the successful completion of the project’s first phase, which operated from 2019 to 2024 and benefited approximately 1.3 million people, primarily nomads. He praised the significant achievements made over the past five years and recognized the efforts of all involved.
The Deputy Prime Minister directed relevant agencies to expedite the implementation of the second phase, expressing gratitude for their hard work and commitment to making the project fruitful for those in need.
The Baxnaano program, overseen by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, continues to play a crucial role in improving the lives of vulnerable communities in Somalia, reinforcing the government’s commitment to social welfare and development.
