Prime Minister Hamsa Presides Over Handover Ceremony for Foreign Affairs Ministry

Mogadishu (LM) Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre conducted a handover ceremony for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, officially appointing Mr. Abdisalan Abdi Ali Dhaay as the new Minister. The event took place at the ministry’s headquarters in Mogadishu.

During the ceremony, Prime Minister Barre commended the outgoing Minister, Mr. Ahmed Moallin Fiqi, for his contributions to strengthening Somalia’s diplomatic relations and enhancing international cooperation. “Your efforts have laid a solid foundation for our foreign policy,” he remarked.

Mr. Dhaay expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve and pledged to prioritize Somalia’s interests on the global stage. “I look forward to building on the achievements of my predecessor and fostering strong international partnerships,” he said.
