
Mogadishu (LM) On the occasion of International Workers’ Day, Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre extended heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to all Somali workers and their families. In his address, the Prime Minister emphasized the crucial role that workers play in the reconstruction, development, and stabilization of Somalia.
Prime Minister Hamsa remarked, “Somali workers are struggling for national development.” He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting workers’ rights, enhancing their skills, and developing job opportunities that benefit society as a whole.
“This day is an opportunity for us to remember the efforts and struggles that Somali workers are making for the development of the country,” he stated. The Prime Minister highlighted ongoing government initiatives aimed at strengthening job opportunities and improving the skills of the workforce.
“Our commitment is to accelerate systems that empower workers,” he added, outlining plans for job creation and vocational training programs to ensure that workers are equipped to meet the demands of a changing economy.
In closing, Mr. Hamsa encouraged Somali workers to redouble their efforts and serve the Somali people efficiently. “Let us fulfill our commitment to our country and our people,” he urged, calling for unity and dedication in the pursuit of national development.
