President Deni Marks Completion of Training for Puntland Maritime Police Force

Bosaso(LM) The President of Puntland State, H.E. Said Abdullahi Deni, officially closed the training for the 4th batch of the specially trained Puntland Maritime Police Force (PMPF). The ceremony was attended by key officials, including the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, His Excellency Mohamed Bari Shire.

In his speech, President Deni encouraged the newly trained forces to take on a significant role in the ongoing operations aimed at eliminating ISIS terrorism in the Al-Khalifa Mountains of the Bari Region. He expressed gratitude to the UAE Government for its long-standing support in the training and preparation of these forces, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in enhancing local security.

The event saw participation from various dignitaries, including members of the Puntland State Councils, the Director General and Commander of the PMPF, Gen. Abdirahman Abdisamed, and the Deputy Director of the PMPF, Mahmoud Salaal Omar. Additional attendees included the Director General of the Presidency, representatives from the Bari Regional Administration, Bosaso district administration officials, presidential advisors, and other distinguished guests.

The closure of this training marks a crucial step in strengthening Puntland’s security apparatus, as the newly equipped PMPF aims to bolster efforts against terrorism and ensure stability in the region.
