Somalia’s Second Deputy Prime Minister Chairs Meeting on Counter-Terrorism Efforts

Mogadishu (LM) His Excellency Abdisalam Abdi Ali, the Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia and Chairman of the National Committee for Support to Fight the Khawarij, chaired a significant meeting today of the Subcommittee on Organizing the Fight to Eradicate Khawarij Groups, including Al-Shabaab and ISIS.

The meeting’s primary focus was to accelerate efforts in supporting the brave forces on the front lines and to enhance the ongoing fight against these extremist groups. Deputy Prime Minister Ali emphasized the importance of providing continuous support to the Somali armed forces, underscoring the critical role they play in maintaining national security.

Additionally, the meeting addressed plans to strengthen cooperation among security agencies and various levels of government administration. This collaborative approach aims to ensure greater success in the fight against terrorism and bolster the overall security framework in Somalia.
