Mogadishu (LM)- In a recent handover event held in Heliwa District, the Secretary General of Banadir Region, Ms. Bilan Bile Mohamud, emphasized the importance of collaboration among districts to enhance community engagement and governance.
Speaking to attendees, she urged District Commissioners and community members to work together towards shared goals, particularly the vision of “one person, one vote.” She expressed gratitude to the president for his leadership and commitment to ensuring that all voices are heard through fair and free elections.
“We must unite as a community,” Ms. Mohamud stated. “It is essential that we collaborate to ensure that every voice is represented in our democratic process.” Her remarks underscore the administration’s dedication to promoting inclusivity and transparency in governance.
The event underlined the ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance and engage citizens in the electoral process, paving the way for a more participatory democracy in the region.
