Calls for European Condemnation of Israeli Aggression Intensify

Tehran (LM) Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi engaged in a critical phone conversation with the foreign ministers of three European countries and the European Union’s foreign policy chief to address the escalating situation regarding Israel’s aggression towards Iran.

During the discussion, Araqchi condemned Israel’s “blatant aggression,” which includes strikes on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, economic infrastructure, military sites, and residential areas. He characterized these attacks as an “unprecedented blow to diplomacy” and urged European nations to recognize the situation and condemn Israel’s actions.

Araqchi emphasized that Iran would continue its legitimate defense and warned that Israel and its allies would be held accountable for any escalation in hostilities. He noted that the conflict is primarily directed against the Iranian people, with the United States effectively complicit in Israel’s actions.

While reaffirming Iran’s commitment to diplomatic solutions, Araqchi asserted that the immediate focus remains on delivering a strong and deterrent response to the aggression.

In response, the European ministers and the E.U. foreign policy chief expressed their regret over the current circumstances and extended condolences for the loss of life. They reiterated the importance of diplomacy and their readiness to assist in de-escalating tensions.
