Upper House Committee Holds Meeting to Discuss Federal Legal Aid Bill

Mogadishu (LM) The Judiciary, Justice, Religious Affairs, Endowments, Human Rights, Women and Children Committee of the Upper House of the Federal Parliament convened its second meeting today as part of the 6th session of the Federal Parliament.
The primary agenda for the meeting was the reading and debate of the Federal Legal Aid Bill. Committee members diligently reviewed the bill, making necessary corrections and amendments to several of its provisions.
At the conclusion of the session, the members of the Committee, along with legal advisors from the Upper House, agreed to continue the reading and debate of the bill in accordance with legislative procedures.
The meeting was chaired by Senator Nacima Hassan Haji Mahmud (Gadhwayne), who ensured that all members were actively engaged in the discussions.
