Tunisian Ambassador Reaffirms Support for AU Commission’s Leadership

Addis-Ababa (LM) H.E. Abdelhamid Gharbi, Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union (AU), recently met with H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the AU Commission.

During the meeting, Ambassador Gharbi reaffirmed Tunisia’s strong support for the Chairperson’s leadership and the Commission’s mandate in driving the AU’s agenda.

The Chairperson expressed appreciation for Tunisia’s continued commitment to the AU’s institutional reform agenda and its efforts towards regional integration. He also commended Ambassador Gharbi’s active engagement in the Specialized Technical Committee (STC) on Public Service, Local Government, Urban Development & Decentralization (STC8), emphasizing its key contribution to advancing the Union’s priorities.

This meeting highlights Tunisia’s strong diplomatic ties with the African Union and its dedication to supporting the AU’s initiatives for development and integration across the continent.
