Somalia Celebrates the 82nd Anniversary of the Establishment of the Somali Police Force

Mogadishu (LM) The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, participated in the celebration of the 82nd anniversary of the establishment of the Somali Police Force, extending congratulations to the senior officers, commanders, deputy commanders, inspectors, and all ranks of the Somali Police Force.
The President praised the leadership of the Somali Police Force for the visible achievements in maintaining the country’s security, rebuilding police stations, and enhancing the capacity and development of the forces. He urged them to prepare for their responsibilities in ensuring the security of the upcoming one-person, one-vote elections in the Benadir region.
“I congratulate the good work that the Somali Police Force has accomplished in a short time. Since its establishment in 1943, the Somali Police Force has stood for the protection of life, dignity, and the property of the Somali people. I would like to express my gratitude to all the men and women of the Somali Police Force who have sacrificed their lives to ensure the security of the country,” President Hassan Sheikh stated.
The President urged the officers and soldiers of the Somali Police Force to fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with the law, protecting the lives, property, and dignity of Somali citizens, and emphasized that every officer would be held accountable for their assigned duties.
The 82nd anniversary celebration of the establishment of the Somali Police Force was attended by ministers from the Federal Government of Somalia, members of parliament, commanders of the armed forces, former commanders, ambassadors, and other distinguished guests.
