Somalia and Iraq Explore Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Baghdad (LM), The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, H.E. Mr. Abdul Salam Abdi Ali, met with H.E. Fouad Hussein, the Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq. The two officials engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and fostering cooperation between their countries.

During their meeting, both leaders emphasized the importance of elevating the partnership to a strategic level, exploring various avenues for collaboration in areas such as trade, security, and cultural exchange. Minister Abdul Salam highlighted the historical ties between Somalia and Iraq, expressing optimism about the potential for future cooperation.

“We are committed to strengthening our relationship with Iraq and finding ways to work together for the benefit of our peoples,” said Minister Abdul Salam. Deputy Prime Minister Hussein echoed this sentiment, noting that both nations could benefit from shared experiences and resources.
