Islamabad (LM) A high-level delegation from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia has successfully wrapped up a week-long working visit to Pakistan. Led by Director General Mr. Yusuf Hassan Isak, the delegation focused on gaining insights into Pakistan’s Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
Throughout their stay, the Somali officials engaged in discussions and workshops that provided them with valuable knowledge and practical experience related to social welfare initiatives. The visit marked a significant step in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Somalia and Pakistan, particularly in the realm of social development.
Mr. Isak emphasized the importance of the insights gained during the visit, which will inform future social programs in Somalia. The enhanced collaboration is expected to foster mutual benefits and support the ongoing efforts to improve social safety nets in both countries.
