Somali FM and Chinese Ambassador Explore New Avenues for Cooperation

Mogadishu (LM) The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi Ahmed, met with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Wang Yu, on Thursday in his office at the Ministry in Mogadishu. The two officials engaged in discussions aimed at deepening the longstanding diplomatic relations between Somalia and China.
During the meeting, they explored various avenues for enhancing constructive cooperation between the two friendly nations. Key topics included preparations for the upcoming celebration on December 14, which will commemorate the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Somalia and China. This milestone reflects decades of friendship, solidarity, and shared priorities between the two countries.
The discussions also highlighted ongoing collaboration in multiple sectors of mutual interest, emphasizing the commitment of both nations to work together on issues of common concern.
