Prime Minister Hamsa Calls for Unity and Rights for SSC-Khaatumo Community

Las-Anod-(LM) Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre, during his ongoing peace and unity tour in Laascaanood, attended a grand event celebrating the SSC-Khaatumo community. The event, dubbed “The Night of Prime Minister Hamsa and the SSC-Khaatumo Community,” was attended by leaders from various levels and thousands of citizens.

In his speech, Prime Minister Hamsa emphasized that the SSC-Khaatumo administration was established at the request of the people in the region. He assured attendees that they would receive the same rights and privileges as those in other regional administrations across the country. “I urge the leaders of the SSC-Khaatumo to move beyond transitional status,” he stated, highlighting the need for permanent governance structures.

Expressing his joy for the unity of the Somali people, the Prime Minister remarked, “I was filled with joy and affection for the unity and the flag of the Federal Republic of Somalia that have so unitedly protected it. It is fortunate that tonight the Blue Flag is flying in many parts of the northern regions. We are at a time when the Somali people need peace and unity the most. My historic visit to Laascaanood reflects the strengthening of the unity and solidarity of the Somali people.”

During the event, the Prime Minister listened to speeches from cultural figures and community leaders, all emphasizing the importance of unity within the Federal Republic of Somalia. He thanked the SSC-Khaatumo community for their resilience and commitment to fostering peace and cooperation.

This event marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to promote stability and inclusiveness in the region, reinforcing the government’s dedication to addressing the needs and rights of all Somali citizens.
