Political Shift: Mogadishu Mayor Joins the Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP)

Mogadishu (LM)- In a significant political shift, the Mayor of Mogadishu and Governor of Banadir Regional Administration, Mr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein, also known as ‘Mungab,’ has officially joined the Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP). The announcement was made during a welcoming event attended by national leaders, party members, and esteemed guests, highlighting the growing influence of JSP in the capital.
In his address, the mayor expressed gratitude to all national leaders and members of JSP for their warm reception, stating, “Your reception has been one that I recognize with confidence and encouragement, strengthening the aspirations of the Somali people towards building a democratic system based on party competition and public voting.”
The mayor extended special thanks to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, for his support in allowing him to serve the country once again with vision-based leadership. He emphasized, “Somalia is at a crossroads that we cannot turn back from, and citizens must express their frustrations through their votes and choose the person they believe is capable. The ballot box is our platform!”
This move is expected to bolster JSP’s efforts in promoting democratic governance and addressing the challenges facing Mogadishu. As the party continues to gain momentum, the mayor’s leadership is anticipated to play a pivotal role in fostering civic engagement and sustainable development in the region.
