New Banadir Governor Commits to Enhancing Living Conditions in Mogadishu

Mogadishu (LM) The Acting Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Saleh Ahmed Jama, officially handed over the responsibilities of the new Governor of the Banadir Regional Administration and Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), from the former Governor, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Amiir.

The handover ceremony took place in Mogadishu and was attended by a diverse group of dignitaries, including Ministers of the Federal Government, Members of Parliament, former Governors of the Banadir Region, Deputy Governors, the Secretary General, military officers, scholars, businessmen, traditional elders, women, youth, and various community representatives.

In his remarks, Mr. Saleh Ahmed Jama emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity in addressing the region’s challenges. He commended the outgoing governor for his service and expressed confidence in the new governor’s capabilities to lead the administration effectively.

Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab) also addressed the gathering, pledging to work diligently to improve the living conditions in Mogadishu and ensure security and development for all residents. He called for cooperation from all sectors of society to achieve these goals.

The ceremony marked a significant transition in leadership for the Banadir Region, highlighting the government’s commitment to fostering stability and progress in the capital.
