Mogadishu Mayor Chairs Meeting to Enhance Security in Banadir Region

Mogadishu,(LM) The Governor of the Banadir Regional Administration and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), chaired a crucial security meeting today to address the security situation in the capital and the broader Banadir region.

The meeting brought together key figures in the region’s security framework, including the Deputy Governor of Security and Politics, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Diiriye (Yabooh), and Lieutenant Colonel Mahdi Omar Mumin, the Commander of the General Division of the Banadir Regional Police. Commanders of the Military Brigades supporting the police, known as the Military Police, were also in attendance.

During the meeting, participants underlined the urgent need to accelerate plans aimed at enhancing the security of Mogadishu and its districts. The discussions focused on increasing cooperation and coordination between various security agencies and the regional administration to effectively combat insecurity.

Dr. Muungaab indicated the importance of preventing acts of violence and creating a safe environment for citizens. “Our primary goal is to ensure the safety of the public and provide them with an efficient and peaceful environment,” he stated.

The security meeting concluded with a commitment to implement actionable strategies that will bolster security efforts and enhance community trust in law enforcement agencies.

As the situation in Mogadishu continues to evolve, the Banadir Regional Administration remains dedicated to fostering a secure and stable environment for all residents.
