Hormuud Telecom Donated $700,000 to support drought relief efforts

MOGADISHU, Somalia (LM) Hormuud Telecom donated $700,000 to support drought relief efforts for communities affected by severe dry conditions across several regions of Somalia, the company said.

The telecommunications company said the donation is part of its commitment to supporting Somali communities facing humanitarian challenges.

“In fulfillment of our responsibility to support and assist our community, we have donated $700,000 to Somali people affected by the drought in various regions of the country, to help them access water, food, and other essential basic services,” the company said in a statement.

The contribution aims to assist vulnerable families in accessing critical humanitarian aid, including clean water, food supplies, and other basic services, as drought conditions continue to affect livelihoods and water availability in parts of the country.
