BRA Governor Provides Aid to Orphan Boys’ School in Karaan

Mogadishu (LM) The Governor of the Banadir Regional Administration and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein Muungaab, delivered Eid gifts and humanitarian assistance to the Karaan Boys Orphanage School in Mogadishu on Monday, a facility that cares for nearly 300 orphaned students.
During the visit, the mayor announced that beginning in April the school will receive regular monthly financial support from the Banadir regional administration.
Muungaab praised the school’s administration for their efforts in raising and caring for orphaned children. He noted that while the local government of Mogadishu is responsible for providing basic public services, it will also pay special attention to people with particular needs, including orphans.
He added that the initiative is in line with guidance from Somalia’s president, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
The mayor previously launched similar support for the Boondheere Girls Orphanage School, and the Karaan boys’ orphanage will now join the list of institutions receiving financial assistance from the Banadir Regional Administration and the Mogadishu municipal government.
Officials say the program aims to strengthen care and educational support for vulnerable children across the capital.
