BRA Governor Breaks Ground on Soobe Road Reconstruction

Mogadishu (LM) Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), the Governor of Banadir Regional Administration and Mayor of Mogadishu, officially broke ground today on the extensive reconstruction of Soobe Road, a vital thoroughfare in the capital.

The road connects the Somali Police Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) to the 14th of October Junction, also known as Soobe. Recognized as one of the strategic roads in Mogadishu, its reconstruction is expected to enhance connectivity and improve access for residents.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Governor Muungaab emphasized the local government’s commitment to restoring services to citizens through a transparent administration that ensures public taxes are reinvested in visible improvements.

“The road we are inaugurating today is designed with a modern plan that incorporates sewage channels flowing directly into the sea, along with provisions for electricity and water pipes,” said Governor Muungaab. “This demonstrates our commitment to prioritizing quality and sustainability in our services.”

The Mayor of Mogadishu reiterated that the local government will continue to implement similar projects aimed at supporting development within the community. He expressed confidence that these initiatives will significantly benefit the people of Mogadishu and facilitate progress across the region.

As the reconstruction of Soobe Road begins, local officials and residents alike look forward to the positive impact it will bring to the daily lives of the citizens in the capital.
