AU Chairperson Meets Bill Gates to Strengthen Collaboration on Health and Food Security

Addis-Ababa (LM) H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, welcomed Mr. Bill Gates, Co-Chair and Trustee of the Gates Foundation, for a pivotal meeting aimed at enhancing collaboration between the African Union and the Gates Foundation.

The discussions focused on key issues impacting the continent, including bolstering Africa’s health systems, expanding local vaccine and medicine manufacturing, and improving food security. This meeting marks a significant step in strengthening partnerships aimed at addressing Africa’s critical challenges and promoting sustainable development across the continent.
