African and Turkish Transport Ministries Sign Agreement

Ankara, 29 June 2025- The Minister of Transport and Economic Infrastructure of Somalia, Mr. Abdukadir Mohamed, announced that a successful agreement has been signed between the Ministry of Transport and Economic Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey and the Transport and Economic Infrastructure Ministries of coastal African countries.
This agreement focuses on strengthening cooperation in the transport sector, enhancing trade connectivity, boosting production, and promoting the overall economy of the region.
It is an important step uniting coastal African countries with strategic importance and Turkey to jointly develop connectivity infrastructure and build a strong economic future.
The Federal Government of Somalia, based on its strategy to enhance infrastructure, is committed to developing Somali ports, which are a vital economic resource for the country. Our goal is to achieve sustainable self-sufficiency and create job opportunities and economic growth.
